Effective Date: June 2, 2026 · Last Updated: September 30, 2026
The notice below applies to the Houston Pumpkin Festival agreement flow and controls any inconsistent general description below for those records. It does not change earlier agreements retroactively.
This notice explains information used for Houston Pumpkin Festival ticketing, checkout, entry agreements and related services. Monetane LLC operates the ticketing and point-of-sale systems. Houston Family Fun LLC produces the Festival. Each uses information for the functions described here. This notice is presented before you submit an event agreement; it does not retroactively authorize a new use of an earlier customer's information.
Checkout collects the buyer's name and email for the purchase and ticket delivery and any other contact details you choose to provide. An adult accepting an event agreement supplies an affirmative agreement response and, when requested, their name or a drawn signature. The one-tap iPad flow does not require a name or drawn signature; it records the personally submitted tap and its transaction association. A parent or legal guardian may supply their own name and the names of identified minors. Optional attendee details supplied by a buyer are used to assign individual tickets and deliver an acceptance link where an email is provided. A name or ticket assignment alone is not that person's agreement.
We also receive information you include in support requests, incident reports, privacy requests and arbitration opt-out notices. Do not send payment-card numbers or unnecessary medical information by email.
We record the event, document version, exact text presented, acceptance status, time, related order or ticket and checkout channel. Records may include the originating staff/station or vendor, an advisory device identifier, interaction duration, web user-agent information and available network provenance such as IP address. We retain a signature when you provide one. Skipped or interrupted iPad prompts may be recorded as missed acceptance; they are not affirmative consent. Queue links and purchase associations help measure checkout completion and agreement coverage.
These records let us operate the agreement process, verify what was presented and submitted, investigate errors or fraud, handle incidents and disputes and maintain business records. They do not conclusively prove identity or someone else's authority to sign.
We retain order items, amounts, taxes and fees, event/location, payment status, order number, ticket issuance/check-in and refund information. Stripe processes card payments. Our systems receive payment references and limited card information such as brand and last four digits, rather than your full card number or CVC. Stripe Terminal may collect the staff iPad's location for card-present payment processing. Staff sign-in and device information supports authentication, fraud prevention and operation of the point-of-sale app.
Supabase provides database and authentication infrastructure; Vercel hosts the storefront; Stripe processes payments; and Resend delivers requested receipts, tickets and related service emails. When error reporting is enabled, Sentry receives filtered crash/error diagnostics to help diagnose software problems. These services receive the information needed for their roles.
Monetane LLC and Houston Family Fun LLC may use and exchange relevant purchase and acceptance records to run the Festival, support customers and handle incidents or disputes. Relevant records may be provided to the venue parties, insurers, legal advisers, dispute administrators or authorities when reasonably necessary to investigate an incident, establish or defend a claim, meet a legal obligation or respond to a valid legal request. Ordinary newsletter exports do not include signatures or the full waiver evidence record.
Information may also be provided to accountants for reporting, to a successor in a business transfer subject to applicable protections, or as you specifically authorize. We do not authorize service providers to use acceptance signatures or minor names for unrelated advertising.
Houston Discovery Green checkout offers a separate newsletter choice for Monetane and Houston Discovery Green. That choice is selected by default; you may uncheck it without affecting purchase, ticket delivery or agreement acceptance. If selected, your name and email may be shared for those newsletters. Each sender manages its list and provides an unsubscribe option. Agreement acceptance is separate from newsletter permission.
The storefront uses session/referral technologies and, where enabled, Google Analytics 4 for website usage and checkout measurement. Event-specific analytics may report to the event's configured partner property. Measurement can involve browser/device information, page/activity data and cookies. The application excludes internal administration and ticket-code pages from its analytics page reporting and removes URL query strings from the page addresses it sends. Do not assume website analytics are anonymous merely because direct contact fields are omitted. The iPad app's diagnostics are separate from storefront analytics.
The existing transaction-retention policy is seven years for purchase records and associated buyer contact details. Agreement evidence, signatures, guardian details and related notices are retained as reasonably necessary for the event agreement, recordkeeping, insurance and the establishment or defense of claims. Legal holds or unresolved claims can require longer retention. Contact us for the retention basis applicable to a particular record.
We use access controls, encryption in transit and the security features of our infrastructure providers. Acceptance history is protected against routine alteration; corrections and later versions are handled without rewriting the text previously accepted. No system is perfectly secure. We respond to security incidents and provide notices when required by applicable law.
The acceptance service is for adults. We do not invite children under 13 to submit their own information or signatures. A parent or guardian may provide a child's name for participation and agreement records. Please contact us if a child submitted information directly or if you believe a child's information was provided without authority. We will investigate and handle the request under applicable law; necessary claim records may be subject to retention exceptions.
You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and lawful recordkeeping/claim exceptions. Applicable state privacy rights remain available. Contact privacy@monetane.com with the relevant email address or order number and the right you wish to exercise. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any applicable extension, denial or appeal route. You may also contact thehoustonfamilyfun@gmail.com about Festival-held records. Do not provide more identifying information than reasonably needed for the request.
For an enabled web agreement, the adult's name and affirmative acceptance are necessary to complete that checkout. Cancelling or declining an enabled iPad agreement does not complete that checkout and is not recorded as consent. Newsletter choices do not change those requirements. Declining marketing does not remove information necessary to deliver tickets or preserve a completed transaction or agreement.
Future agreement text is published as a new version. Earlier acceptance records remain associated with the version shown at the time. Material changes to information practices will receive any notice or consent required by applicable law and existing commitments; this notice does not silently expand the use of previously collected information.

Transaction support: support@monetane.com.
Festival questions and arbitration opt-out notices: thehoustonfamilyfun@gmail.com. The agreement's opt-out instructions and deadline govern that process.

Monetane LLC (“Monetane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates outdoor entertainment events and ticketed experiences in Texas — marketed under the Aura Creative World brand — including locations at Houston Discovery Green, Gruene Crawfish Festival, Gruene Mini Golf, San Antonio Mini Golf, and seasonal Austin venues.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you purchase tickets, food, merchandise, or other goods and services from us — whether online or in person at one of our events — how we use that information, and the choices you have about it.
This policy applies to:
It does not apply to the privacy practices of third-party services that we may link to or use to process your transactions; those services have their own privacy policies, summarized in Section 5 below.
Monetane LLC (operating events under the Aura Creative World brand)
Texas, United States
Privacy contact: privacy@monetane.com
We are an entertainment business. We are not a data broker, do not sell personal information for advertising purposes, and do not operate any advertising network.
We collect only what is necessary to sell you tickets and products, deliver receipts, and run our business. The categories below are exhaustive — if it is not listed here, we do not collect it.
| Category | When we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address | Required for online ticket delivery; optional for an emailed receipt at point of sale |
| Name | Required at online checkout; optional at point of sale for a receipt or named ticket |
| Mobile number and text-message choices (order texts, event texts) | When you provide a mobile number after purchase, ask for a text receipt in person, request ticket delivery by text, or join Monetane Event Texts. For SMS consent, we record your choice, number, time, source, and the consent wording version with your payment. For Monetane Event Texts we keep a separate consent record, described in Section 5; for an online sign-up it also includes your IP address and browser type. |
| Card details | When you tap, insert, or swipe your card on our Stripe payment reader — see Section 4; these never reach our servers |
Name and email are required for online ticket purchases so we can deliver your tickets and receipt. They are optional for in-person purchases. Providing a mobile number and agreeing to texts are optional; you can purchase online and receive your tickets by email without either.
Sections 3.1 and 3.2 describe information about customers. Our app is also used by our own staff and by vendors operating at our events, and from them we collect two additional things: the last four digits of a staff member’s own phone number (used to authenticate the person operating the till — only those four digits are sent at login, never the full number), and a per-install device identifier.
The device identifier exists for one narrow reason. All the iPads at a venue reach the internet through a single shared connection, so if we limited failed sign-in attempts by network address, one staff member repeatedly mistyping a PIN would lock out every other till at that venue. Giving each iPad its own identifier lets us apply the limit to the one device that is failing. It is not derived from any hardware serial, IMEI, MAC address, or Apple advertising identifier, and it is regenerated from scratch if the app is deleted and reinstalled. It is used solely as a bucket key for that rate limit — not to build a profile, not to recognise a device across other apps, and never linked to any customer.
Staff PINs are stored only as bcrypt hashes and are never recoverable — see Section 8.
When our software fails, our staff app and our servers send a diagnostic report to Sentry, our crash-reporting provider (listed in Section 5), so we can find and fix the fault. A report contains the stack trace and error message, the app and system context (app version, device model, operating-system version), an opaque identifier for the staff sign-in session the error occurred under, and an outline of which of our own server endpoints the app called just beforehand — the HTTP status returned and the size in bytes of the request and response.
A report does not contain the content of any request or response — not order contents, not customer names or email addresses, not card details, and not staff sign-in credentials. That is enforced in the software rather than by policy: the same filter that decides what our internal logs may record decides what a diagnostic report may carry, and it works by explicit permission — nothing is included unless it has been classified as safe — rather than by trying to list everything that must be excluded.
This is diagnostics, not analytics. It records that our program broke; it does not record what you did. See Section 11.
When you pay with a credit or debit card at one of our venues, you tap, insert, or swipe your card on a Stripe-manufactured payment terminal. The reader encrypts your card data on the device and transmits it directly to Stripe — our systems never see your card number, expiration date, CVC, or PIN. Stripe processes the payment and returns to us only a confirmation: a transaction identifier, the last four digits of the card, the card brand, and the amount. We store that confirmation alongside your order so we can issue refunds or look up your transaction if you ask.
Because we never touch raw card data, we operate within the PCI DSS SAQ-A compliance scope — the smallest scope for any card-accepting merchant. Stripe is responsible for the security of card data in transit and at rest. Stripe’s privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
We share the limited information described above with the third-party service providers that help us run our business. These providers act as our data processors — they handle data on our behalf and are contractually limited to using it for the purposes we hire them for. We do not sell your personal information or rent it to anyone. We do share limited purchase and visit information with Google and OpenAI to measure how our website and our ads perform and, for a partner’s event pages, with that event partner, as described in the table below and in Section 11.
| Recipient | What we share, and why |
|---|---|
| Stripe, Inc. | Card data (direct from the terminal), transaction amount, order metadata, and the location of the staff iPad at the time of a card payment, for payment processing. Privacy policy |
| Resend, Inc. | Your email address and order details — only if you request an emailed receipt. Privacy policy |
| Twilio, Inc. | Mobile number and message content to deliver the texts you ask for (order texts and, if you join, Monetane Event Texts) and manage messaging opt-outs, solely as our messaging service provider. Privacy policy |
| Google LLC (Google Analytics) | The storefront pages you view (path only), when you start checkout or complete a purchase, the order number, the order value and ticket types, your IP address (sent with every browser request), and your browser and device type, to measure how our website performs. Privacy policy |
| Event partners with their own Google Analytics property | For that partner’s event pages only: the pages you view (path only), checkout and purchase events, the order number, order value and ticket types, and your browser and device type, for the partner’s own measurement of its event. Never your name, email, phone number, or text-message consent. |
| OpenAI, L.L.C. (ChatGPT Ads) | When you start checkout or buy online: that event, the order value and ticket types, a hashed (encoded) copy of the email address and mobile number you gave at checkout, which OpenAI uses to match the purchase to a ChatGPT account that saw our ad, your IP address and browser type, and the reference of a ChatGPT ad you arrived from, to measure how our ChatGPT ads perform. Privacy policy |
| Supabase, Inc. | Order records, transaction history, our internal staff session data, and the per-install device identifier described in Section 3.3, for cloud database and authentication infrastructure. Privacy policy |
| Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Crash and error diagnostics from our staff app and our servers. No customer information. Customer names, email addresses, card details and order contents are removed before a report is sent, by the same filter that governs our internal logs. Privacy policy |
| Apple, Inc. | App diagnostic information, only when you opt in via iOS Settings on your own device. |
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other sharing descriptions in this policy exclude SMS opt-in data and consent. We disclose mobile information only to service providers necessary to deliver the requested messaging service, or as required by law. Newsletter sharing with Houston Discovery Green never includes mobile numbers or SMS consent.
Our separate, unchecked SMS box on the order confirmation page covers Monetane LLC tickets, receipts, and order updates only. Message frequency varies based on your purchases and requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or contact support@monetane.com. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. This program does not send promotional texts. At our events, a receipt texted from the Monetane iPad at your request is one message about that purchase and does not enroll you in other texts. See our SMS Terms of Service.
If you join Monetane Event Texts, we collect your mobile number, when and where you joined (a Monetane iPad at a venue, your order confirmation page, or tickets.monetane.com/texts), the version of the consent wording you saw, the related order, event, or venue when there is one, and, for online sign-ups and opt-outs, your IP address and browser type. We use this information to send the event texts you asked for, including one confirmation text after you join, and to show that you agreed to receive them. We send texts through Twilio, Inc., which processes your number only to deliver our messages. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. If you opt out, we stop sending event texts and keep a record of your consent and opt-out for five years so we can show we honored your choice. Up to 4 messages per month; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. See our Event Texts terms.
When you buy tickets for an event at Houston Discovery Green, checkout offers one checkbox, selected by default, for newsletters from both Monetane and Houston Discovery Green. Unless you uncheck that box, we use your name and email for Monetane newsletters and share them with Houston Discovery Green for its own newsletter. This does not include your phone number or payment information. Houston Discovery Green manages its own mailing list. You can unsubscribe from either newsletter using the link in its emails. Opting out does not affect your purchase or ticket delivery. Other venues retain a separate opt-in for Monetane marketing; their buyers and previous purchases are not included in this partner sharing.
We may also share information in these narrow circumstances:
We use the information we collect for these purposes, and only these:
We do not use your information for:
| Category | Retention | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Transaction records (order, items, amounts, last-four card digits) | 7 years | Texas tax records retention requirements |
| Customer email and name, when provided | 7 years, tied to the transaction | Receipts and refund lookups are tied to the order |
| Monetane Event Texts consent and opt-out records (number, choice, time, source, wording version, related order, event, or venue, the iPad station, and, for online sign-ups and opt-outs, IP address and browser type) | 5 years after you opt out | To show that we had your consent and honored your opt-out |
| Staff session data | 24 hours active; 30 days after expiry | Operational and audit |
| Stripe payment and refund records | Per Stripe’s own retention | Required for chargeback dispute defense |
When the retention period expires, we delete or anonymize the data. “Anonymize” means we strip any field that could identify you while keeping aggregate transaction totals for historical accounting. If you want your data deleted before the retention period expires, see Section 9.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by Texas law and any other applicable jurisdiction.
Depending on where you live, you have specific rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights for all customers, regardless of state of residence, to the extent practicable.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@monetane.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and include the email address or order number associated with your purchase, the right you wish to exercise, and a copy of the receipt if you have one. We will respond within 45 days. We may extend this by an additional 45 days for complex requests; we will tell you if so.
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act may give you additional rights, including the right to know whether we process your personal data, to obtain a copy of it, and to delete it. We are a small business and may qualify for the TDPSA’s small-business exception; we honor the substance of these rights regardless. If we deny a request in whole or in part, we will explain why and how you can appeal that decision to the Texas Attorney General’s office.
The California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and why (this policy is your notice), to know what we sell or share — we do not sell or share your personal information in the sense the CCPA defines those terms — to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not have a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Similar privacy laws are in effect in Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and several other states. We honor equivalent rights for residents of any state that grants them.
We do not operate in the EU or UK, do not market to EU or UK residents, and do not knowingly process EU or UK personal data. If you are an EU or UK resident and believe we hold personal information about you, please contact us and we will work with you in good faith.
Our events are family-friendly and children attend, but we do not collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old. The only information we collect from a purchase is what the purchasing adult provides — an optional email and name. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information about a child under 13, contact us at privacy@monetane.com and we will delete it promptly.
Our iPad app does not use cookies or any tracking technologies. Our storefront uses cookies for session management; for up to 30 days, to remember a referral link, campaign link, or ChatGPT ad you arrived from; and, set by Google Analytics and the ChatGPT Ads pixel, to recognize a returning browser (Google Analytics cookies can last up to two years). On our public storefront pages we also run two measurement tools: Google Analytics, which counts page views, checkouts, and purchases, and the ChatGPT Ads pixel from OpenAI, which tells us whether a visit from a ChatGPT ad led to a checkout or a purchase. Both receive only the page path, never the rest of the web address. Neither runs on your ticket pages, the Event Texts sign-up page, or our staff and vendor tools, and the ChatGPT Ads pixel also does not run on the order confirmation page, where you can choose text messages. Section 5 lists what each receives. Blocking these tools in your browser stops them running on your device and does not prevent you from buying tickets. When you start checkout or buy online, we also report that event to OpenAI from our own servers, as described in Section 5. We do not use these tools to follow you across other websites.
We do use one crash and error reporting tool, Sentry (listed in Section 5). The distinction matters, so to be plain about it: Sentry tells us that our software broke and where in the code it broke. It does not measure what you looked at, what you bought, how long you spent, or anything else about your behavior, and it is not used to build a profile of you or to target anything at you. Our staff app’s privacy manifest declares crash and diagnostic data as not linked to you and not used for tracking, which is why the app shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
This policy and our app do not link to third-party websites in a way that would expose your data to them. If we add such links in the future, this policy will be updated.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last Updated” date above, post a notice on this page for at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and — if you have provided an email address for receipts within the past year — send a one-time notification. Non-material changes such as clarifications and typo fixes take effect immediately on posting.
