Fall begins at the Houston Pumpkin Festival, and the pumpkins are waiting for you.
Celebrate the magic of fall in the heart of downtown Houston as Discovery Green transforms into a festive farmland of pumpkins, rides, and photo ops.
Take in the city skyline as you walk through vibrant displays of pumpkins and gourds in every color. It's the perfect destination for a family outing, a date night, or a festive gathering with friends. Ride the carousel, explore the lake by boat, race down the 30-foot slide, bounce around the Jumpkin' Pumpkin, and stay till the lights come on.
Open till 10 PM, and the festival looks completely different after dark.
Attractions
Bumper Boats, Butterfly Chair, Carousel Ride, Cinderella's Carriage, Cruiser Boats, Doors of Wonder, Giant Pin Art, Jumpkin' Pumpkin, Massive Yellow Duck, Piggly Wiggles, Pink Trees of Life, Pumpkin Houses, Sunflower Walk, Tree Net Climber, and the 30-foot slide.
Boats and rides are included with your ticket. Food and drinks are sold separately.
Walk-ups may be limited
Due to high demand we strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance. Walk-up admission is available based on capacity. Online tickets don't require a reserved time slot, so come whenever works for your day.
Plan to arrive early
To make sure everyone in line gets the full experience before we close, we may stop admitting new guests up to an hour before closing time. Arriving early, especially during busy times, gives you the best shot at seeing everything.
Weather
If you bought tickets and can't make it because of rain, your ticket is still good. Weekday tickets ($18) can be used on any other weekday. Weekend tickets ($28) can be used on any other day.
The festival's last day is November 8.
Supporting Discovery Green
Your ticket is more than a day out. A portion of proceeds supports Discovery Green Conservancy, the 501c3 nonprofit that cares for the park and programs more than 500 free events a year.

Good to know
World's Largest Bouncy Pumpkin
Over 2,000 square feet of bounce. Exactly as ridiculous and as fun as it sounds, and nobody wants to get off.
The Giant Corn Pit
All the fun of a day at the beach, none of the sand in your shoes. Sink in, dig around, let them play.
Bumper Boats and Cruisers
Two ways to get on Kinder Lake. Motorized bumper boats for spinning, twirling, and steering straight into your best friend, or an electric cruiser for a calm glide under the shaded canopy. No captaining experience required.
Rides for Every Age
A classic carousel, a giant slide built for repeat runs, and an umbrella ride that lifts you up over the festival.
Photo Ops Everywhere
Cinderella's Carriage, the Pink Tree of Life, Doors of Wonder, the Sunflower Walk, pumpkin houses, Piggly Wiggles, Giant Pin Art, the Butterfly Chair, and a very large yellow duck.
